The Progressive student movement of Nimba is appealing to the government of Liberia to consider reopening schools in the country. According to the group, access to quality education is a right and not a privilege. We also urge the Global Partnership to ensure that this right is protected for every child across the world, ProSMON asserts. The group believes that regardless of our race, ethnic background and financial strength, every citizen should be given the equal educational opportunity to pursue his/her dream with the singular goal of making citizens productive to contribute to the forward march of Liberia. Moreover, the group said if the government can open hotels, guesthouses, gambling centres and other social places what more about seeing the need to reopen schools across the country.
